A.D.F. -> httpd -> ab -> patches -> ab-1.3d
The following patched versions are built upon the version 1.3d of ab (Apache Benchmark) program as found in httpd-1.3.27.
They add new options and improve ab performances (see below development status). Latest patched version includes:
stand-alone compilation, added a few support files (b64, etc.) and macro to allow stand-alone compilation.
-K option, (p01) to use
HTTP 1.1 protocol version with keep-alive
instead of standard -k option which uses
HTTP 1.0 protocol version.
NOTE: ab -K
does not understand
chuncked encodings,
thus it can be used only with HTTP servers
that send files without chuncked encoding
(i.e. thttpd + keep alive patches, etc.).
HTTP GET-304 response, (p01)
support to handle GET-304 response, useful when using
option -H
,
i.e. with If-Modified-Since HTTP header.
sparse performance improvement, (p01) to lower a bit CPU usage.
-W option, (p02)
to simulate slow connections that send 100 requests
and then stay idle for -W seconds
.
Please, read patch log file ab-1.3d-pNN-log.txt for details and bugs not fixed.
