Fiat 500 N 1958
Questa opera è stata realizzata utilizzando pezzi autentici provenienti da una Fiat 500 N del 1958 (Tipo Trasformabile Normale) n° telaio 047XXX, colore 472 Celeste Crociera. Ho recuperato questi pezzi che altrimenti sarebbero andati distrutti nel ferro vecchio, ed ho eseguito una pulizia accurata dei lamierati, rimosso le parti troppo danneggiate per essere conservate, passato un prodotto antiruggine di color mattone in tutta la parte interna, per quanto riguarda l’esterno ho voluto lasciare la sua verniciatura originale del tempo che in alcuni punti mostra come durante tutta la sua vita questa piccola 500 abbia subito cambi di colore e una modifica ( indicatori direzione dei modelli successivi. D, F e L) che ho preferito eliminare in parte ma lasciandone intravedere i segni. In alcuni punti ho dovuto forzatamente (e in parte volutamente) portato a nudo la lamiera, la mia idea era che la parte dell’auto parlasse all’osservatore, mostrando tutto ciò che ha visto e subito durante tutta la sua vita, come se lei stessa raccontasse la sua storia.
This work was carried out using authentic pieces from a 1958 Fiat 500 N ( Type Convertible Normal) Chassis No. 047XXX , 472 color Celeste Cruise . I recovered these pieces that would otherwise be destroyed as scrap metal , and I run a thorough cleaning of the sheets , removed the parts too damaged to be saved , spent a rust inhibitor of brick color throughout the interior , as far as the outside I wanted to leave his original painting of the time in some places shows how throughout his life this little 500 has undergone color changes and a change ( direction indicators of the later models . Per quanto riguarda il cofano della 500, l’idea iniziale era la stessa che ho utilizzato per la calandra ovvero lasciare al naturale il più possibile effettuando solo una pulizia nei punti più critici e danneggiati, purtroppo nel momento in cui ho iniziato mi sono accorta che i punti da pulire erano troppi e richiedeva una rimozione più approfondita della vecchia verniciatura, così ho preferito che la rimozione della vernice desse origine a figure che raccontassero di metallo incandescente che cola, del lavoro duro di uomini, il caldo e la fatica che si poteva percepire entrando in un’acciaieria o in una fabbrica di quel tempo, l'uomo che piega il metallo a colpi di martello, l'ingegno umano che da vita alla macchina, “La Diavoleria dell’ingegno”.
Infine, la scritta FIAT 500 a somiglianza del vecchio logo Fiat con il numero 5 a forma di falce e la mia firma “ANDREA BONARDI”.

Ho assemblato le parti in modo che il cofano anteriore si potesse aprire come accade nel reale, e ho appoggiato la struttura metallica ad un telaio di legno e metallo che ho personalmente realizzato su misura cercando la soluzione più adatta, inoltre ho disegnato e cucito il rivestimento in vinilpelle del pianale apribile di appoggio, il risultato finale permette di avere un pratico e soprattutto originale oggetto d’arredamento che si presta (con opportune modifiche) a diversi tipi di uso, tavolo da salotto a cofano aperto, dove è possibile riporre alcuni oggetti, oppure espositore a cofano aperto dove appoggiarvi uno stereo o una collezione di modellini d’auto d’epoca, oppure altri svariati utilizzi nonché cassa porta oggetti. Ho potuto realizzare quest’opera grazie alla cortesia di un amico che nel restaurare la sua FIAT 500 N, ha voluto regalarmi alcune parti che altrimenti sarebbero andate distrutte nel ferro vecchio.
