L'America e' l'America

Here is it, the result of three (very discontinuous, sadly...) years of work!! At last I've got something to be a little proud of, something to make people listen to when they ask, something COMPLETE!

The aim was to record a selection of tracks written from 1989 to 1995 to be able to archive them after years of rearranging, tweaking and rush-recording them. These are tracks written for a particular reason (soundtracks etc.) or just out of an inspiration but, to me, they all sounded incomplete or not at their best as if, in a hurry, I had used the first idea that came to my mind to complete them (that is what really happened in some cases). So, from 1997 on, I began reworking some of the compositions and arrangements (some were heavily changed, some were only retouched) and I recorded them with the help of some friends-musicians...the recording process took veeeery long (it was over on Jan 2000!!) because I'm not easily satisfied and because recording sessions were planned when I was free from university duties and from other, more urgent, music projects. From February till November 2000 I got busy mixing and mastering the tracks.

It's made exclusively of tracks written between 1989 and 1995 because, right from the start, I had decided to keep newer tracks for future projects but still I'm quite satisfied.
There's to consider, though, that I made all my experiments on HD recording, mixing and mastering working on this CD starting from very little past experiences, so I didn't expect great results from the "sound" point of view; I made many mistakes I'll carefully avoid in the future but I think that, all in all, the product is "listenable"!

Well! Enough talking! Below you'll find the CD tracklist with most of the tracks available for download as mp3; some of the tracks are also available on MySpace. If, after listening to them, you want to express your opinion don't hesitate and drop me a line!
