Past experience

Andrea Antognini

I do not have that much experience, but I thought that perhaps someone might be interested in. In 1988 I published my first poems in the Antologia di Artisti e Poeti marchigiani Tra Spazio e Tempo (Anthology of Artists and Poets from the Marches Region, Between Space and Time) edited by Carlo Manfrini. Therefore, from the 4th (1988) to the 7th (1992) edition, the year in which the anthology ceased to exist, I found a space, all to myself, to display my writings.

At the beginning of 1998 I published some poems in Salti di Scimmia (Monkey's Jumps), a book not on sale, but founded on the idea of some young writers (both debutant and non-debutant) in my city: an excellent initiative which ended with a favourable review in Pulp.

In 1998 many of my poems made an appearance in Internet... and, surfing through the net's waters, some of these ended up on the shores of several Italian internet magazines (ARPANet & Dad@mag); and so, pushing further the boundaries of communication they stopped off on foreign shores and, as a result, were published in the Poets Union (English), or the Canadian "Ygdrasil", which dedicated its whole June issue to my collection entitled "Stolen Moments".

From all this I have had the greatest satisfaction and the opportunity to know many other marvellous souls.

In 1999 I have collaborated again with the Italian E-zine Dad@mag, and some of my works have been accepted and published on the Poetry web space by Ed. Nova Ars Libraria. Some poems and a gratifying mention of my web space have been published on monthly literary review Tam Tam (Proposte Editoriali Ed., Rome).

A novel of mine, "Gorham... the eighth day" (a Thriller-Fantasy fiction), has been published on december 1999 by Edizioni Internazionali Beta, Rome.
