Broken equipments
PHOTO DESCRIPTION
MiniStereoBroken.jpg This is my ministereo, a HITACHI AX-M20, that has a strange buzzing from the musical tape recorder's engine that goes over the music and sometime it substitutes this.
We have brought the ministereo to the official HITACHI repairer, but this has taken us only time; so my father has brought the ministereo to a friend of his that has the knowledge but when this person did test the ministereo, there was no buzzing; when my father did bring the ministereo to me, the buzzing did rise again!
Now this, if it will give no problems how it seems, will be used by my major sister: I hope that the buzzing is limited into my bedroom, where it was before!
GraphicsCardBroken.jpg This was a pretty NVIDIA TNT 2 graphics card of the PC; one day in the past I have made mistakes with my PC BIOS and in that time my PC halted functioning.
So my father has brought the PC into the businnes of a friend of his, to be seen from another friend of his that has the knowledge to try to repair it.
This person has told me that the problem was the graphics card and that there is another graphics card built in the motherboard, that can be used.
This graphics card gives a true colours desktop, but any other app can open at maximum a high colour screen, another problem is that the broken graphics card was fast with any apps, but this instead is slow!
On date Friday, 24th December 2004 I have purchased for 28.32 Euros a new graphics card for the PC, a SPARKLE NVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX400: it is great!
FloppiesWriterBroken.jpg This is the gloryous high density floppies writer of my AMIGA 1200: it seems it can recognize any AMIGA floppy no more, so I have substitutes this with the original double density floppies writer.
Unfortunately this last is a well know floppies writer of the very first AMIGA 1200 by AMIGA TECHNOLOGIES, that doesn't receive the floppy disk change signal, so to see a new inserted disk by the AMIGA is necessary that this executes a DiskChange AMIGADOS command.
AMIGA1200Broken.jpg This is my first AMIGA 1200; I have purchased it in 1994 from a computer store, for 1,500,000 italian Lire, with a 170 Megs hard disk included that on that time it was such a great thing; it immediately has given me problems: the same day I have purchased it, returned home it didn't want to light; so I have brought back it to the shop where it come and there it run, magically!
This was the first of an array of problems it has given to me, with some expenses from me; the last problem with it has come in 1999 and in that moment I have decided to leave it broken and to buy a new AMIGA 1200 from NEW VIDEO, an AMIGA reseller and repairer for 650,000 italian Lire.
810MegsHardDiskBroken.jpg This is my second 810 Megs 2.5 inches hard drive for my AMIGA 1200; I have purchased it few years ago from VIRTUAL WORKS, an italian AMIGA goods reseller; on date 12th November 2005 it has halted funcioning; on date 16th November 2005 I am gone with my major sister to MEDIAWORLD (http://www.mediaworld.it) and there I have found and purchased for 129 Euros a 60 Gigs anonymous boxed 2.5 inches hard disk.
Returned home, opening the hard disk box, I have discovered that it is a HITACHI TRAVELSTAR.
PrinterBroken.jpg This was my new combo colour printer; it has optimum conditions, unfortunately the inside circuits have gone to get the benedition!
It is an optimum useless home beautifier object like some others; this means that at the moment printings by my PC are not possible; if I was an Electronic Engineer I had the knowledge to make it something funcional.
SecondMiniStereoBroken.jpg On date 20th June 2007 unfortunately this has broken also!
512MegsUSBPenBroken.jpg I am succeeded to connect to the PC motherboard the two front USB ports on its case; ufortunately during the connection test I have broken the USB pen I used to the Java lessons on 2006; to replace it I have purcased a new one of four Gigs!
