Il programma “W-Com” permette di eseguire da computer i test sugli apparati cellulari, grazie al collegamento seriale con gli apparecchi della serie 4200 di Will’tek. Si possono eseguire test per cellulari monobanda a 900 MHz e bibanda 900-1800MHz. I canali gsm-pcn che vengono utilizzati sono programmabili per evitare di lavorare su canali gia’ occupati da un operatore di telefonia mobile. Con la stessa procedura si esegue automaticamente il calcolo e la memorizzazione dei parametri di pre-attenuazione ricezione e trasmissione per ogni nuovo modello di cellulare. Per i monobanda vengono utilizzati tre canali, per i bibanda sei, per ogni canale sono previste tre misurazioni di livello di trasmissione e una di ricezione. Ogni test eseguito puo' essere stampato con il logo del laboratorio che lo esegue.
Installazione della chiave hardware ( no per la versione Demo)
Nel caso sia stata fornita una chiave hardware di tipo parallelo, e’ sufficiente inserirla nella porta parallela del computer.
Se la chiave fornita e' di tipo usb occorre inserire il cd-rom di installazione nel drive cdrom del computer e inserire la chiave hardware in un ingresso usb libero. Il sistema operativo rileva automaticamente la chiave e vi avverte che e’ in ricerca di un driver, indicate a Windows che il driver si trova nella directory \CPUSBDrv del cdrom.
Installazione del software W-Com
W-Com funziona con Microsoft Access 2000, lanciare il programma “Setup” dalla root del cdrom. Se nel vostro computer non e' istallato Access 2000 il programma propone automaticamente l' istallazione del runtime di Access 2000, scegliete ‘SI’. L'operazione potrebbe richiedere il riavvio del computer. L’istallazione di ‘W-Com’ sara' portata a termine con il tasto ‘Avvio’.
Collegamento con il tester
Avviate il programma W-Com dal menu’ di Windows >> Avvio-Programmi -WCom.Vi sara’ richiesto il nome dell’operatore che effettua i test, inserite un nome e con OK si presentera’ la maschera base. Dalla maschera base scegliete il tasto “Setup” per l’impostazione della porta seriale. Selezionate la porta seriale dove e’ stato collegato il tester e la velocita’ di comunicazione, la stessa del tester. Uscite dalla maschera “Setup”.

Description
The software W-Com can
assist you testing mobile phones from computer thanks to its connection with
Will’tek 4200 Tester series. It allows you to run tests on 900 MHz mobiles and
on 900-1800 MHz ones. Gsm-pcn channels, for this use, can be chosen in order to
avoid working on any channel already occupied by other mobile operators. With
the same proceeding RX and TX pre-attenuation parameters are automatically
calculated and saved for each new phone style. For 900 MHz mobiles three
channels are used, while for 900-1800 MHz six channels are used, for each channel three
different TX and one RX level measurements are possible. Any test can be printed
out with the logo of the operating laboratory.
How to install the hardware key (no for demo version)
In case you have been given a parallel hardware key, you just have to insert it in the parallel port of your PC.
If you have a usb key, you have to insert the cd-rom in the PC driver and the hardware key in a usb port. The system will immediately recognize the key while searching for a driver, tell Windows that the driver is in the directory \CPUSBDrv of the cd-rom.
How to install WCom software
W-Com works with Microsoft Access 2000, run 'Setup.exe' program from cd-rom. In case you didn’t install Access 2000 the software automatically proposes to install Access 2000 runtime, therefore select 'yes'. After this operation you may need to restart the computer. W-Com installation will be proceeded with 'Start'.
Connection to tester
Please open W-Com software from Windows menu. You have to write operator name, please insert the name and 'OK'. Then you will find a new template, select “set up” in order to set the serial port where tester has been connected and communication baud rate (the same baud rate as the tester). Exit this template.
