NOTE BIOGRAFICHE
Nato a Lucca nel 1954, vive e lavora a Pisa. Ha conseguito il Diploma di Maturità
Artistica presso il Liceo Artistico Statale di Lucca ed ha frequentato l'Accademia
di Belle Arti di Firenze. Ha iniziato l'attività artistica nel 1968.
Dal 1969 ha tenuto 108 mostre personali e circa 800 collettive in Italia ed
all'estero ed ha conseguito numerosi premi e riconoscimenti. Ha collaborato alla
fondazione del "Gruppo Nuova Cultura" e del "Gruppo Zoom" ed ha curato e
diretto trasmissioni radiofoniche e televisive d'Arte e Cultura. Ha operato come
grafico pubblicitario ed illustratore e collabora come vignettista con alcune riviste.
Nel 1978, con il pittore Marco Menghelli, ha fondato l'Accademia d'Arte di
Pisa, che tutt'ora dirige e nella quale insegna Pittura e Disegno.
Esiste una vasta bibliografia internazionale che lo riguarda e sue opere
figurano in musei e collezioni pubbliche e private in più di trenta nazioni.
Nel 1979 ha realizzato, in bronzo, il monumento per l'Anno Internazionale
del Bambino", collocato a Trassilico (LU).
Nel 1984 è stato tra i fondatori dell'Associazione Provinciale Artisti Pisani,
della quale è stato Presidente fino al 1999.
Nel 1987 è stato tra i fondatori dell' "AS.AR.ES." - Associazione Artisti
Estemporanei, gruppo con il quale ha operato anche in performances.
Nel 1989 ha fondato l' "International Mail Art Archive", iniziando l'attività
artistica nel circuito internazionale della "Mail Art" come autore ed organizzatore.
Sempre nel 1989 fonda "Idea Fuggente", Bollettino Artistico Toscano, ed è
l'ideatore e l'organizzatore del 1° Simposio Estemporaneo d'Arte Contemporanea
"Pisa Open". Nello stesso anno è l'ideatore e l'organizzatore della 1a Mostra
Internazionale di Mail Art "Pisa '89".
Nel 1990 inizia la sperimentazione nell'ambito dell' "Elettrografia"
realizzando le prime opere in "Copy Art". Sempre nello stesso anno è l'ideatore e
l'organizzatore della prima mostra di Mail Art a livello mondiale sul tema della
caduta del "muro di Berlino", denominata "Germany:the Dreams Wall is Open" e
diviene membro dell' "I.U.O.M.A." - International Union Of Mail Artists.
Nel 1992 gli viene conferito il Premio Internazionale "Europa" per le Arti
Figurative.
Nel 1994 fonda l' "Italian Art Team", un selezionato gruppo nazionale di
artisti di area contemporanea con il quale rappresenta l'Italia in mostre all'estero.
Nello stesso anno Inizia la sperimentazione di "Computer Art" ed una sua opera
"elettrografica" viene inserita nella collezione del "Museo Internacional De
Electrografia" di Cuenca ( Spagna), unico museo al mondo del settore specifico.
Nel 1995 è l'ideatore ed organizzatore della "Mostra Internazionale di Arte
Elettrografica: Pisa '95", della quale cura anche le edizioni del 1996 e del 1997.
Nel 1999 è l’ideatore ed il Direttore Artistico della Mostra Mondiale di Mini-
Grafica e Pittura (denominata “ITART” dal 2001)della quale cura tutte le edizioni
fino al 2003.
Nel 2003 gli viene conferito il Premio Nazionale “Cris Pietrobelli” “Alla
Carriera”. |

BYOGRAPHICAL NOTES
BRUNO POLLACCI was born in Lucca (Italy) in 1954. He lives and works in
Pisa.
He qualified from secondary school in the Artistic Liceum of Lucca and he
attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence.
He begun painting in 1968 and he has been exhibiting since 1969. He has
partecipated in more of 800 group-exhibitions all over the world and he has held
107 one man shows in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Finland,
France, Germany, Great Britain, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg,
Panama, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, U.S.A., Yugoslavia. He received a lot
of prizes. He is one of founders of the "New Culture Group" and "Zoom Group"
and he supervised and managed some art and culture broadcasts.
In 1978 he founded the "Academy Of Art Of Pisa" that he still runs and
where he teaches painting, graphics, modelling and papier-machè.
There is a vast bibliography about him and his artworks are in private and
public collections in many Countries in the world.
In 1979 he made the bronze monument for the "International Year of the
Child" placed in Trassilico (LU).
In 1984 he founded with other painters the "Pisans Artists Association" of
which he was been the President till 1999. In 1987 he was one of founders of
"AS.AR.ES." (Extemporary Artists Association).
In 1989 he founded, in Pisa, the "International Mail Art Archive" and he
takes part in the projects of International Mail Art as an author and organizer.
The same year he founded "Idea Fuggente", artistical bulletin that he still runs.
In 1990 he became a member of the "I.U.O.M.A." (International Union Of Mail
Artists).
In the same year he began his research into "Electrographyc Art" and he
realize the first artworks in "Copy Art".
In 1992 he received the "Europe Prize" for Figurative Arts.
In 1994 he founded the "Italian Art Team", national group of artists of
contemporary area to represent Italy in international art-shows. In the same year he
began his experience about the "Computer Art" and his artwork is inserted in the
collection of the "Museo Internacional De Electrografia di Cuenca" (
International Electrography Museum of Cuenca), Spain, the only specific
museum in the world.
In 1995/1996/1997 he is the author and organizer of the "Electrographic Art
International Exhibition, Pisa ".
He is the author and organizer of the 1st , 2nd and 3rd Mini Graphic &
Painting World Wide Show “Pisa 1999” ,“Pisa 2000” and “Itart 2001”.
In 2003 he received the “Cris Pietrobelli” National Prize at the Career. |
