Fr. Renato Rosso, 'fidei donum' missionary between the nomads of the world, was born in the ' 45 in the diocese of Alba (Italy). Since his adolescence he did a radical choice to work for the poor, to be able to entirely devote himself to the pastoral care of the nomads, which is also strongly supported by the Turin Cardinal: Michele Pellegrino. From 1984 to 1992 he is in Brazil, then in Bangladesh and India, where today he alternates his presence during the year, always in nomad communities, walking and living with them and like them: nomadic shepherds of the Rajastan, nomads living on the rivers of the Bengala… Recently he has also extended his activity to the Philippines, to the Middle East, to the Sahara.

It is a particular and difficult missionary presence. In many countries the proselytism is still forbidden but however the presence of Fr. Renato has a full missionary meaning: "If I succeed in helping some Moslem or hindu to become more merciful, less violent, to love more their neighbor, to respect the laws and the rights of the others, especially those of the women and of the children, all this I call evangelization"

This photo of Sudir shows the life of a small village of Bede nomads in the south of Bangladesh. Between the various projects that Fr. Renato supports in the country (also with other nomadic groups) we want to underline the Schools Project.  Rather unusual schools, now some hundreds, different among them, but always adapted to the life's style of the people: on the boats, on the pastures, in the tents, together with the families. According to an experience matured over the years, and of which we can already see the fruits, like the gypsy teachers growing in the animation responsibility.
