CJM - Cuntz Algebra States Defined by Implementers of Endomorphisms of the CAR Algebra

  • . 694-708 Cuntz Algebra States Defined by Implementers of Endomorphisms of the CAR Algebra Michael J.
  • . Gabriel Abstract : TeX format We investigate representations of the Cuntz algebra mathcal{O} 2 on antisymmetric Fock space F a (mathcal{K} 1 ) defined by isometric implementers of certain quasi-free endomorphisms of the CAR algebra in pure quasi-free states varphi_{P 1 }.
  • . Restricting these states to the gauge-invariant subalgebra mathcal{F} 2 , we find that for natural choices of implementers, they are again pure quasi-free and are, in fact, essentially the states varphi P 1 .
  • . We proceed to consider the case for an arbitrary pair of implementers, and deduce that these Cuntz algebra representations are irreducible, as are their restrictions to mathcal{F} 2 .

  • . The uniqueness of the representations of this algebra when V is is discussed in the .
  • . There is also a corresponding unital, often referred to as the Weyl form of the algebra, generated by e if subject to e i f e i g = e − i ( f , g ) e i g e i f (e if )*=e -if for real numbers c 1 , c 2 .
  • . If V is equipped with a real (, ) instead, the unital *-algebra generated by the elements of V subject to the relations f g + g f = ( f , g ) f*=f for any f, g in V is called the canonical anticommutation relations (CAR) algebra .
  • . (g, f)=-(-1) |f||g| (g, f) ) such that (f, g) is real if either f or g is an even element and if both of them are odd, the unital *-algebra generated by the elements of V subject to the relations f g − ( − 1) | f | g | g f = i ( f , g ) f*=f, g*=g for any two pure elements f, g in V is the obvious super generalization which unifies CCRs with CARs.

  • . Algebra is taught in middle school.
  • . It used to be that only high school students learned algebra.
  • . But now math educators believe that it is helpful for students to develop the reasoning and skills that algebra requires starting in the lower grades.
  • . By getting a head start with important concepts like these, more students get the chance to really understand the basic ideas of algebra before they are formally introduced to Algebra and the mysteries of X.
