ENGRAVINGS
FERNANDO MACCHIATO
I
do engravings with different media: etching, water and sugar, soft wax,
dry point, etc..
I draw by cutting lines on a metal plate with a needle and acid so
that one can print from the plate. It takes me several days to do an
engraving, but it is a very versatile technique: it is possible to do
more prints and, above all, in different colours: I like the amaranth
red very much, my sister the black and the brick red, my brother the
blue. And which is Your preferred colour? I'm able to print my engravings
in the colour You like.
