History, purpose and principles

The Rotary Club Torino Est has been founded in 1956 and is part of District 2030 of the Rotary International. The purpose of Rotary is to encourage and develop the ideal of serving, intended as driving and propelling force of any activity. In particular it intends:

  1. To promote and develop friendly relationship among its own members, to make them better suited to serve the general interests.
  2. To shape the business and professional practices in accordance with the principles of the highest rectitude, to recognize the dignity of any useful occupation and to operate for its going on in the worthiest way for better serving the society.
  3. To direct the private, professional and public activity of each person towards the concept of service.
  4. To promote the understanding, good will and peace among nations through the world diffusion of friendly relationships among representatives of economic and professional activities, united in the common intention and will of serving.
