HOMAGE TO ISERNIA'S "HOMO"

How today's man celebrates his ancestor.

The discovery of Isernia's "La Pineta" paleolithic deposit, has provoked much fanfare within the scientific realms of paleonthology, as well as those of outside cultural circles. Many have been the graphic and scuptural representations; in a particular way the artist' rendition has glossed over what the Man and its Habitat would have looked like. Umberto Taccola is one of our city most prolific artists whom due credit is given for his rendering of the (commemorative) postage stamp shown up above. From his renditions as well as those of other talented artists, we have been gifted with beautiful pictures, some of which we have here reproduced.
