This is Sean Paul Henriquez. He was born on 8 January 1973 in Jamaica. Paul was educated at Wolmers High School and was trained in commerce with a view to pursuing an occupation in hotel management, but he was keen on dancehall. His style is considered unique and "uptown". It emerged in different songs like "Strategy", "Work With It", "Hot Gal Today", "Woman Yuh Hot", "Report To Me" and "Faded".

Paul released dancehall favourites as a soloist and  in combination with the Dutty Cup Crew. In 1988 he recorded a version of the "Unda Wata" rhythm as "Ladies Man".

In 1999 Paul started a tour in Europe, Japan and the USA. He cemented his popularity in the USA with a hit remix of "Hot Gal Today". Later on he enjoyed more success with his songs "Gimme The Light" and "Get Busy".
