Welcome!

By the time a man realizes that his father was usually right, he has a son who thinks he's usually wrong : That's my situation now ! But I'm sure that time can cure it !

Here's my 2 cents worth....

Just two word to present me:
I’m 56 and live in Italy with my lovely 2nd wife, Daniela.
We have scratchbuild two "models" :
-
"The princess" (is 28 now, sigh!): she's a graphic "talent" (art director)
- "The Warrior" (now 16) : a game specialist, but with a strong scientific inclination.

The Man was my father... with me and my first train! (1952)

I start to be a Railroad fan ....well, you see the picture ?
And ,
when I was 16, I buy my first steam Loco. This was the time the first N scale US steam loco’s was available here in Italy …. Horrible things compared with the present models.
When I was 26 I take an occasion and land in Santa Cruz, CA where I've lived several years working in Palo Alto and other places in the Valley.
When I come back in Italy ..... Jimi Hendrix was dead!

I forget my RR passion for several years and my modelling effort range from wood ship (vessels) to cars.

All this ‘til last year, when I discover a box in my mother basement containing … an old Rivarossi 2-8-8-2, two other steam loco’s and some other old rolling stuffs.
Immediately my original passion blow up again!

This site was born not only to have a place where display and share my personal "experience" ,
but also to try to "instigate" in some visitor to try to start "experience" itself.

This place was created as a labour of love, combining my favourite hobbies:

Model Railroading and Ferrari Red Passion

About language, please excuse my "crude" english, but I'm Italian, and because my main interest are US railroads I've select to drive this way. Maybe in the future I have time to set a double language site?

Please take your time and look around.
Enjoy your visit and hope to see you again soon.
Feel free to send me suggestions on improvements and additions.

Thanks for visiting!
