ALTAR OF PERVERSION- FROM DEAD TEMPLES

Drakkar Productions

Noktu’s label is back with another piece of dark art, this one is probably the most interesting Italian Black Metal band, a sum of attitude, atmosphere and raw recording. This album can be defined as deeply influenced by a dark mysticism and also a good example of raw Black Metal in the old-style spirit. Altar of perversion are one of those band who can play traditional without sound repetitive, to keep back some previous somber emotions with great ability and without any risk to bore the listener. FDT is something I really appreciate because it’s a very serious album where images, artwork, sounds and the overall feeling are very well linked and personally I think that they show a certain credibility in what that represent. Ritualistic blasphemy is a word that can be misunderstood but my idea of their music is something communicating with the older side of Satanism that brings atheism in a very sinister, disturbing feeling, but with a eerie aesthetic. Personally I look forward to interview them so to understand something more of the concept and the involvement in what their music represents. Today so many people seem to be more interested to go beyond the borders of modern sureness fight against something they probably never known, this is a step back to places forgotten where phantoms are still screaming in agony, remembering what they saw, trying to understand the reason of their destiny, places where this freezing wind is not going to stop is loud disturbing recall.

There are two songs where a harsh wall of sound generated by the guitars is suddenly interlaced by a very dark arpeggio and the hallucination is complete. Long life to the Altar of Perversion
