ANAAL NATHRAHK - THE CODEX NECRO
I immediately say
that Anaal Nathrahk are one of the most enthusiastic surprises I’ve made
during my last Black metal listenings. Their production is underground but not
poor, they have the strength, the sharpness and the right wild spirit.
They’re a band of wild killers, but there’s a control, a black precision
in their arrangements and songs. The music is black metal, mostly brutal and
misanthropic, with a moderate melodic presence and a cruel, evil mood. This
music can be listened near some great assault of hate like the Nidhen Div. 187
"Imperjum" and the Mayhem "Wolf’s Lair Abyss". They’ve
released an extreme album of a music already well represented by past
masterpieces without sound retro or old, it’s really surprising! This band
is about to explode, they’re an emerging and promising band full of energy
and will, the anger that someone have lost.
There are songs that are an explosion, an assault that have not only the
aggressive side but also a colder vision, like the real black metal should be.
They haven’t almost nothing of the new-wave futuristic and
pseudo-experimental scene without sounding old, renewing scene that today is
too divided between the music conservationism and the empty desire to amaze.
The best thing to do is to listen to "The Codex Necro" to understand
how some so-called extreme acts have totally lost their black energy, but the
evil is alive...
