"Saturn
Sector" is an album of raw, primitive black metal album, with a minimalist
conception of that music, the drums parts are obsessive like Darkthrone where
promoting years ago, the riffs haven’t any commercial appeal, differently
they’re a sort of obsessive but this time not so ancient form of nihilism.
The recording is very harsh and old-style but the overall atmosphere is a sort of post-wartime scenario. Melody can means beauty, sometimes sadness, or something epic, the Blackdeath’s music haven’t any sort of evasion, it’s a cruel expression of modern, but not futuristic, coldness, nothing political but rather hateful. I really respect the choice of that band to follow a rather difficult path because like the most extreme doom metal it’s really difficult to keep the attention of the listener for the entire album and songs and I also think that this band can reach better result with the next release. This time there’s at last a sign that in Russia something is moving for the obscure side, and after all this can be the first step to new conquers...black metal fanatics give a chance to that album.
