I can’t support a band that
have totally corrupted its origins, like I was expecting after the Nordavind
departure Nattefrost have totally turned CF’s sound and music to a
rockish-Motorhead direction and I say that this release is the best thing for
old guys who have this kind of pathetic nostalgic mood, differently if you look
the new songs from the right perspective the band’s involution is incredible.
It’s absolutely absurd how a band like that is claiming to play black metal,
so if this is true Lemmy is the second brother of the Abbath, after Demonaz...so
don’t misunderstood me but if they’re going to tell this to young listener
they can hope to escape the reality but the fact is that Avantgarde haven’t
lost so much because this band is very near to stagnation, they will probably
say that Venom are a great band, that "Black Metal" is the biggest
album ever but if you know the real black metal history these are only ballshits
and if this is the new quality of the future Cf songs they’re very near to a
decline...let’s hope that they have only tried to fill a cd and nothing
more...and it’s not a surprise that the best songs are the Darkthrone’s
cover "In the Shadow of the Horns" and the re-recording of "Bloodlust
and Perversion", the live songs are the filthy but well played version of
CF, the grim spirit if definitively put apart to bring on stage the rawer face
of the band, the one that is capturing the scene in the new songs and in those
written by Nattefrost on the last fair "Morbid Fascination of Death",
now I understand why Nordavind left this project.
