CRADLE OF FILTH - Damnation and a Day

Same usual shit, the British vampires are back, with another album that is following the boring ordinary metal direction of the previous "Midian", their way to play music is so normal, scholastic, they try to reach emotive targets recreating mechanically their style again and again....just to say this is the typical album that can impress a young new-comer that doesn’t know the real face of evilness and darkness, the only parts that I can appreciate in this album are the orchestral moments executed by the Hungarian ensemble. When Cradle’s music conquer the scene I can only yawn...the researched melodies of "Dusk..." and "Cruely..." are totally gone for a easy going metal music for ordinary crowds, for those who aren’t able to understand the essence behind appearance, but it’s not a problem you can always bang your head with those pseudo death and thrash riffs...it will be not the same but what does it means???...all in all they will another time acquire new exposition no matter what. Dani talks about how Cradle are against commercial music but I see everything under a different perspective, they’re paladins of clichés and normality, like following the evolution of contemporary horror music, so plastic....music for the weak.
