As you can see the vote is surely not bad, but speaking about a band that in the past have realized two incredible black storm of violence and coldness this is very near to a flop from the well-known Swedish band. After listening to the "An Apprentience of Satan" I was expecting something superb and superior for the future but now I can say that this song is surely the best in this new DF’s album. It’s incredible how many dark feeling have been lost by the Swedish band with this new album, the production is cleaner but it haven’t nothing to do with the harsh darkness of the awesome debut and also with the storming holocaust of "Vobiscum...". Arhiman have lost that target and what remains of the past power are some interesting songs, but I can count very few significant and important riffs in the overall work, and too many flashbacks are emerging there and there. This is a very important moment for the band carrier, their satanic black metal is becoming too ordinary, the black flame is losing its intensity, the dark passion is in a real danger, but I fear that Arhiman and co. are begin transformed by the over-exposition that actually is afflicting the band. I think that to resurrect from those dangers the band have to look back to its roots, leaving apart the commercial normalization that’s killing so many old myths, play black metal for me doesn’t means to put together black metal riffs in a well consumed way, it’s necessary the right spirit and inspiration, first of all...
