I Don’t know why I’ve always have trusted this band…maybe because of the imaginary that their name brings to my mind, to be honest I’ve found only Norwegian Native Art a “not bad” album. I think that the rest can be catalogued like quite ridiculous (they’ve never reached bands like Thyrfing, Helheim just to not name gods like Borknagar or Enslaved), so here we are with this Blot and with great regret I must say that is a good album but no more…they’ve tried to mix ancient atmospheres with some more modern element that are very boring is some cases and I still I cannot comprehend why they do not try more the sad and mystic atmospheres that they’re good at like on “Regicide” on the previous album and on “Ride the Gallows” on this work, this is not acceptable by a band that plays since 1993 a good album no less no more…this is only for die hard fans, if you’re looking for some excellent ancient Viking atmospheres I would not advice you Einherjer…
