EPHEL DUATH - REPHORMULA

A Word for this album is "never stop the madness", an apocalyptic rebellion to music stagnation, an avant-garde opera made without limits, an incredibly complex and constant crossing of melodies, different ideas, sometimes in a very difficult way to understand. The prog attitude is mediated by a more emotional side, the better moments are for me the one when the technical madness is submitted to a visionary travel. The feeling is absolutely abstract, because listening to Rephormula is like be submerged by a tons of inhuman intuitions, and sometimes it’s normal to have the sensation to constantly follow the songs, always remaining behind, that for say the "Rephorumala" is really a difficult matter and I believe that everyone will have the patience to arrive inside the core of this creation. The drum-machine is programmed following the almost hysteric song’s evolution. The remixes are totally electronic, leaving apart the tormented prog of the previous songs for a wile. The  last three demo songs are more classical oriented with a with a mood prevalence on composition, compared to those of "Rephormula". The fact that the music is so structured is probably caused by the fact that they were previous songs remade and the result is this mix of electronic apparitions, prog metal flights, and other jazz, fusion elements, the metal factor isn’t really so important, but my sensation is that the Ephel Duath music is concentrated in a sort of ultra-complex distortion of a childrenish’s desire of evasion in a world of fantasy, but here the joy become dangerous enough.
