The first thing I would like to say is that I find totally ridiculous all the work done so far by Finntroll and when I heard the news about an experimental/acoustic album it became naturally to me to laugh out loud, but luckily I can say that I was wrong. I really enjoyed this kind of work, it has the right length because except one or two tracks the album is completely folk/ambient, I found it very interesting for it’s mood now melancholic now sinister, a sort of a new age re-interpreted with a more dark feeling, finally Finntroll have spread out the typical negative and cold emotions typical of the Scandinavia and specially of Finland, do not think about an album like Kveldssanger from Ulver, here there are very few parts with guitar, Visor Om Slutet is more ambient with a great use of keyboards, but if you’ll have the right feeling you’ll be capable to reach the thousand lakes.
