FUNERIS NOCTURNUM - RELIGION SYNDROME DECEASED
This
the first time that I listen to something from Funeris Nocturnum, the only thing
i heard about them is that their debut "Pure Satanic Blasphemy" is
devastating, reading their short bio it seems like that musically they’ve
changed a lot musically and technically, the music is like a mixture of various
extreme metal genres, there’s a black metal, a bit of death metal, keyboards
and electronics played very precisely with the usual Scandinavian technical
skills...and I’ve to say that I found this work really interesting, there’s
some very good and unconventional solutions but also some not very interesting,
it’s like that Funeris are still in the process of changing their skin and
they’ve not reached their new form, but there’s also an annoying trouble
typical of the Finnish bands, there’s a lack of feeling but not so evident
probably caused by the production so perfect, one special mention goes to the
elettro-techno ghost track in the album that i hope that will make crumble down
some closed primitive metal apes out here, definitively an interesting album
that is one step more closer to the new ultimate form of Funeris Nocturnum.
