KOLDBRANN - PRE-PROD 2002

The Koldbrann music is for me a revelation, a black revelation to be more clear, they play a very cold and obscure form of traditional northern black metal that have a very strong consciousness of that art. There are some very interesting variations in songs that are well arranged, mixing fast moment with other more slower and sombre parts.
The song-writing of that Norwegian band is very mature and demonstrate a strong dedication and knowledge to that genre, the drums are varied and the guitars play the main part in that black march. There isn’t only the already well known blind assault and the music is not surely boring, but it sound intelligent and inhuman as Scandinavian Black Metal showed with its supreme attitude through the years, demonstrating that there’s still cold blood in the vein of that hemisphere. Actually so many people are talking about decadence but here there’s a very promising sign and if the album that will be released on the next year will be on the same level of that promo a new Black Metal opus will remain in my mind.
