Christhunt really can’t fail, every release they made isa success, Magog is another of those bands who are contributing to the growing of the scene in Germany, they play a fast type of Black Metal with ancient influxes. They’re not the typical band that sometimes lost the main target of the intensity because all their songs have a very aggressive rhythmic hateful assault without lose at all the meaning of mood. For this side they surely deserve respect, the guitars are very sharp in a very cruel way. The intensity is very high but it’s a misfortune that they don’t alternate more varied tempos, because when they moderately pass to slower moments the overall result is sometimes better and prepare the field for another rush. Notwithstanding this fact their play very cool songs with the necessary competence and the pagan roots are sometimes audible on the background, line a hidden but sometimes reckonable element. This surely have very few things in common with the epic music a la Bathory because their meaning of epic is more destructive and full of vengeance hanger, not so "nice" just to say. So long…a very interesting album
