MORTIFERA-COMPLAINTE D’UNE AGONIE CELESTE

The French cult is back! Another time I have to exalt a band coming from this country where underground Black Metal have gained the dimension of dark art, where a somber sensibility have created a special trademark, a black aesthetic. Mortifera can be in some way connected to the particular Celestia sound but it’s less "dreaming", also the artwork is much more claustrophobic and the sad atmosphere turn in something darker. The result are four very good songs that will take you to a dimension of melancholy and despair, a silent but suffocating inhalation. For those who still believe in the real meaning of solitude, isolation, self-alienation Mortifera are something to live or something to leave. The fact that Noktu of Celestia is involved in this project is not for sure a surprise, after Celestia, Genoicide Commando there’s another star with his dark gleaming.
