MY DYING BRIDE - THE DREADFUL HOURS

Another studio work, another masterpiece, this recording has the classical My Dying Bride’s trademark, after two not very good episodes (for example 34,788% Complete). This is a "back to the roots" album, less heavier and unfortunately without some classical elements like the violin that was on Turn Loose The Swans and the early works. After all this can be recognised as one of the best albums ever not only for My Dying Bride, but in the whole genre as well; how many bands can say "Listening to an our album is a deep binding trip into the black cave of sorrow holding by hand a sweet romantic melancholy", definitely this is one of them. Once again this five English guys have recorded an excellent album made of excellent music, anguish and sadness, rich of  a great musical taste. After many years of Doom it’s not easy to continue making excellent music without getting lost. Personally my favourite songs on this album are A Cruel Taste Of Winter and Le Figlie della Tempesta, but the other ones are great songs indeed. To appreciate this masterpiece is needed a full immersion into the My Dying Bride’s universe, useless to say that many people hate this band, but personally I prefer to love it risking to get lost.
