SEPTIC FLESH - Sumerian Daemons
If
there’s a band that haven’t that have showed throught the years to not be
too influenced by the economical and commercial theories those are surely the
Hellenic subterranean force Septic Flesh, in their history they have always
proudly followed their own path, without remorse.
"Sumerian Daemons" is not probably avant-garde as the immense
ingenious decadent picture of a
unforgivable "A Fallen Temple" but is something that will remain for
long time on my stereo, a clear answer to some faggot that around are polluting
with their tedious outfits.
As fot the other album "Sumerian Daemons" have its particularities but it’s so fucking Septic Flesh, so immensely evocative, mystically ancient but after all so modern and fresh. Darkness trespass ages in this "Sumerian" modern occult cold rite. The guitars are part of the modern side of the band they sound very digital without any analogical nostalgic appeal, the singer have after all a death approach but the effect used have a very successful filter that integrate this style perfectly on the bloody scene. The synth. parts are done with experience an a lot of feeling, showing a music created with strong equilibrium. "Dark River" is like an hypnotic journey through dark rooms of a diseased colony in a forlorn dimension...awesome listening! Usually I’m a bit used of female vocals done in a gothic-like vein but they’re not a main factor in those songs, tho appear only the emphasize the mystical factor. Septic keep a modern heavy-death guitar base with a killer modern spirit, their album is as usual so special! I think that the time is come for that band to conquer the attention of a wider audience...I’ve only done what my darkest feelings have spoken.
