When I saw the cover art of this album the first thing that I thought was "Oh no! A death metal band with a brilliant tank on the booklet! Another disc for death apes!", surely death metal is not my cup of tea but I can appreciate acts like Morbid Angel…but come on, what is supposed to be this kind of thing ? A mini cd ? Four tracks for a total of 12 minutes with almos 2,30 of them "occupied" by tank and guns samples can be considerated a mini ? Or a strange kind of death metal single ? This is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard, all is so patheticly the same, ultra-inflactioned war samples all over the album, low guitars, an ultra low inexpressive growling and only rhythmic…this is the exact thing that I recognize as crap, yeah there’s a good production and Sotajamula are skilled musicians but it’s useless without good material and/or creativity. Every time I think that death metal can be almost a decent kind of extreme metal happens something that makes me totally change my mind….luckily it seems.
