SWALLOW THE SUN - THE MORNING NEVER CAME

Doom metal is coming back from the torpor state of the past years and this band seem to be one of those My Dying Bride child, those poetic inspired metallers who go against the common heaviness to fields of melancholy, passion, desperation. "The morning never come" is a very suitable title to this mournful novel, the music is founded on some solid melodies, not too excessive but absolutely catchy on the long run. The overall environment suddenly become grey or dark blue n the different stage and shading of Swallow of the Sun music, let me say that this kind of music will never become old enough. The sound is very terrestrial, damnly doomed by an anguish atmosphere, the drumming is play with knowledge giving the necessary solemnity. For all those we’re actually going mad for the depressive trend it’s highly suggested to try this experience, that could surely open to some unusual visions, with many communications but also with particular aspects, not so immediate to understand but clear when the inner self of this music will reach the listener. Don’t expect so any fast and wild drumming performance but a sorrowful vision of desolated landscapes and inner disillusion…nothing better…but it’s something worthy.
