THODDE-SHINING BLACK ERA
The promotional letter says "The goal behind this release is to capture the hotness and the wilderness that gived us the long summer in the green Umbria, with his essential power" and i thought "oh, great!" but here comes some problems Thodde defines themselves as "Black Umbrian Necrofolk", honestly i do not hear much folk in their music but there are some really good atmospheres, the great problem of this demo are the total different feelings of each song, we have some black metal "traditional" songs, electronic ambient tracks, an Oi/N.S. black metal song and a 80’s dark influenced song a là Joy Division (as they state in the promotional letter)...i define this like the sound of confused ideas. Do not misunderstand me this is not a bad album at all only, but it’s like if the sounds isn’t mature yet and the production is a bit too much rough, there’s some "chaotic" moments, a band with a great potential that needs to grow...
