Honestly
I think that this album is a bit another of those releases
that like so many others will have a short life in the memory of the
listener and actually after so many years of Symphonic Black Metal it’s really
challenging to overcame the past, the first thing that’s clear is that Finland
is going in another direction with its bands, they all play a rhythmic and
melodic version of symphonic pseudo-extreme metal, that is surely not considered
Black Metal because it lack of the prevalent obscure mood of this genre and
musically because thrash and heavy influences are there to create a dangerous
shortcut, that too many times damage the overall result creating an unnecessary
hybrid.
Unveiled aren’t sure untalented musicians but their music haven’t the
necessary madness to shock, the sound is not at all bad but sometimes it
doesn’t represent something too real for a traditional band with drums
recorded with a too high tone. The song I prefer is "Ruin of Virtue"
and in general there are other more interesting chapter but at the end nothing
important is to remark so that "Anti God..." will remain another
pseudo symphonic Black Metal album, too pseudo, and less special.
