VILE - DEPOPULATE...

Listenable Records

This is the second official release from Vile (the debut album called "The stench of the deceased" was unreleased now finally out!)an incredible wall of sound created by these five american butchers.
Brutal death metal in pure tradition but enriched by good arrangements and particular taste to create tangled webs of melodies surrounded by a threatening atmosphere , rare thing in a death metal band. The opener track "Depopulate" is like an hammer that smash your head, furiously starts with ultra-fast rythmic section followed by the rotten vocal ,style of Juan Urteaga who shows a convincing vocal personality and the guitars, morbidly, are weaving complicated killing skeins of riffs ,raping the ears of the listener.
"Butchered" remands me in some way to the goremasters Cannibal Corpse for its immediacy and the typical "In your face" feeling trademark of the legendary band, but with a different approach that is the maniacal accuracy for the compositions and the performing adopted by Vile.
The band demonstrates to be professional in every way and strong of its capacities!
The carnage continues with "Path to incineration" and "Retaliation",two songs with an astonshing hyper-fast tempos , showing the talented drummer, Tyson Jupin, who supports perfectly the various guitar work , full of melodic nuances ,I think this is the great feature of their sound.
"Unit 731"is really blasting with the groovy parts , united with the obsessive hammering of Tyson, another point of strength of Vile are slow tempos, giving a sense of anguish.
The last assault is called "Integration rites" a perfect closing track like a shotgun in your mouth! Sick and brutal hymn to suicide scanning the knells of slaughter.
The curious episode in "Depopulate" is the track number nine "Bitterness" only an acoustic guitar with its sorrowful notes close this album, an atypical song but a brave intention of a band who signs the new way to mean death metal!
