I
really found great the previous “1184” but this “Likferd” is even more
great ! Its more icy black metal with great melodies and I can hear some far
Gorgoroth influences. Cold, Folkish and Trollish is how it sounds, neverthless
to say that this kind of atmospheres drive me totally crazy, even more when you
can feel that a band is capable to impress not only “simple” music on a Cd,
a work that literally spreads ancient nordic wilderness from every note, the
main differences between 1184 are keyboards that are used a bit more with
classical instruments and clean choirs that have been improved but all of these
2 elements are never too much abused. The only bad thing is that Voices Of
Wonder/Head Not Found seems to have a not so good distribution…this album
it’s quite difficult to find…to conclude I’m really glad to review a band
that finds inspiration and strongness from the ancient and mystic past of their
own tradition and country, in those
“noise/modernist” ridiculous and pathetic days.
