WINDS - REFLECTIONS OF I

This is a wonderful piece of intimist music, an inner journey through a Cosmo of melancholic and sorrowful emotions. The insight isn’t necessarily a catharsis but much more a disenchanted vision, where the reality lose its ordinary form for a dimension of shadows, reflections, not really a torment but a pleased redemption from the common sense of negativity. Musically speaking "Reflections..." is a mix of a generic form of metal with classical influences, played by a real orchestra, and prog metal elements. The most important thing of all those different marks is that they all work like instruments for the same target. Skilled musician have already demonstrated to bring apart their temptation to become executive clowns to fill, they realized their art and nothing more, so there’s nothing in common with the ordinary and boring today’s form of prog-metal. The singer voice is absolutely expressive, following with great pathos the different moment of the creation, a work of different shadings, the solos are played with incredible feeling, perfectly inserted in the right moments and with awesome melodies. The drums are played by the well-known Hellhammer, without exceeding with the trigger choices of the Mayhem’s coldness.
The extreme metal listener isn’t the right person to listen to that calm but not relaxed vision, but who is searching for a true journey has to think about that album like a must!
