WOODTEMPLE - Feel The Anger of the Wind
No Colours Records
Following
the Graveland’s path of blood Woodtemple come out with a mid-tempo epic album
that’s strongly influenced by the sombre hateful ancient warlike atavism of
the Poland band. This band came from Austria and they show a great understanding
of the fathers pagan message, another time I will say that this music is a mix
between the more ethnic side of Bathory with the dark and cold touch of Black
Metal, album of reference are the mystic hymn "Following the Voice of Blood"
and "1000 Swords", almost without fast part but focusing to create a
majestic and medieval mood.
The
sound is very primitive but at the same time very professional, everything can
be heard without losing its rough spirit. The result is done of three long song,
with a monumental and very good title-track, a sort of very evocative interlude
and a final song, creating an interesting title-track to keep back the proud
summoning ages of hanger and prevalence.
"The
Crow of the shadow Woods" is the appropriate title to the cold visionary
prevalence of this music, there’s a moderate usage of keyboards, just to give
right background on some moments, differently from Graveland they don’t have
any acoustic guitar part but prefer to transmit a more metal solution but
without sounding too rhythmic, mainly concentrating on creating the atmosphere.
I feel to support those isolated acts as something to be heard by those who
haven’t lost the opportunity to look back in search of something special,
extreme matters... "Feel the Anger..." is the sign that something
"Again Shall Be..."
