ZYKLON "AEON"

Candlelight rec.

In 2001 they’ve enchanted us with that masterpiece called "World ov worms" characterized by its unique sound: a good compromise between the black-death metal sound contaminated by electro-industrial inserts weighted out with wisdom, cold, merciless and fresh were the right adjectives to describe the product of a band that was for an half part of the legendary empire actually defunct that has left its sad inheritance over this world with dignity.

After 2 years they’ve naturally improved and partially changed their coordinates replacing in part

their proposal to a death metal approach near the floridian meaning heavily influenced by the fathers of this art: Morbid Angel. Musically is a fusion between their old style and this new dress delivering this neo release called "Aeon" that notwithstanding all is a quite and agreeble work .not exceptional but very different than the debut and played truly well, the industrial component is reduced as contour focusing the songwriting on powerful rhythmic sections and low-tuned guitars choosing to standardizing themselves inside the infinite of the multitude of bands worldwide with the same sound abandoning temporary their real identity.

"Aeon" also signs the debut of the new vocalist/bassist Sechtdamon (the drummer from Myrkskog) giving a good performance tryng to cover in some way his preceding one Daemon (Limbonic Art) on this album as guest.

The song’s structures are really built with extreme feeling and energy but closing itselves in a circle with no way out that is a partial musical sterility conscious to refuse the magnificence of their past of splendour reflected perfectly on the wonderful closing track "electric current" who reminds for few minutes the dreaming and visionary magic spells on "World ov worms".

I really hope it’ll be only a transitory album because this one is a good death metal release but nothing else to say!
