CHARTER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION KNOWN AS "EXPERIENCE
CUBA"
The present document is the charter of the association "Experience
Cuba", an international non profit-making association.
The Association intends to be a point of reference for all those who wish
to get to know the reality of life in Cuba, with social, economic and tourism
initiatives.
The Association also encourages its members to exchange information which
can be useful when organizing non-package holidays, and as such also promotes
communication between its international members and the Cuban members who
intend to offer accommodation for rent to visitors (in accordance with the laws
of the Cuban state), and to promote cultural exchange.
The Association gathers and transmits information among its members
predominantly by means of Internet. As such it accepts no obligation or
responsibility for these, either towards its members, or to third parties. It
is not answerable to torts or offences arising out of the contact between
members, and neither does it demand obligations or responsibilities from its
members or representatives of the Association for the information exchanged
therein. It is not acting in the quality of tour operator, or tourist or
commercial intermediary, and it does not provide services upon payment. As
such, any eventual financial obligations entered into with Cuban residents as a
consequence of the information supplied by the Association do not constitute a
legal responsibility to the Association.
The Association uses Internet, the telephone and the postal system for
communication purposes, and does not possess any meeting rooms.
The Association answers exclusively to the Italian legal system, even in
its relations with non-resident members.
The membership fee is established by the managing committee. For the year
1999 no fees for ordinary membership and 100 Euro or 120$ for founder
membership have been established.
The Association is a non profit-making association which observes all the
democratic laws laid down in the Italian constitution, and is independent from
any political organization or party.
Membership is open to all people who wish to pursue the aims of the
Association, without discrimination according to sex, race or nationality..
Membership is divided into two categories: ordinary and founder. The
payment of the membership fee entitles the member to one year of
membership.
Only the founder members may participate in the election of the President,
once a year, and they constitute the managing committee which presides over the
activities of the Association.
The ordinary members have the right to participate in the activities of
the Association and consult all the information held by it.
The latest list of members is held at the seat of the Association.
The annual assembly for the presentation of the activities and the balance
sheet of the Association is to be held on Internet.
