E' successo quando
anni fa scoprimmo Robert Wyatt e i Soft Machine.
Accade ascoltando la sua musica, le sue canzoni, la sua voce, quando parliamo
o leggiamo di lui, della sua vita, della sua arte, del suo impegno civile, della
sua immensa creativitý.
CosÏ È stato lo scorso autunno al Salone della Musica di Torino quando Davide
Sapienza ci ha fatto incontrare e conoscere Robert Wyatt. Ha battuto talmente
forte da lasciarci senza parole, visibilmente inebetiti, commossi.
Quella notte nasce

un disco dedicato a Robert Wyatt a cui partecipano trenta artisti accomunati da una grande passione per questo grandissimo artista.

Little Red Robin Hood Ë un lungometraggio sulla carriera e sulla vita di Robert Wyatt, fondatore, cantante e batterista dei Soft Machine. Artista riservato e malinconico poeta del suono, ma allo stesso tempo disincantato e ironico, Ë un esempio unico nel panorama musicale contemporaneo. Trenta anni di evoluzione artistica e di storia di vita raccontati attraverso le testimonianze di Wyatt stesso, di Elvis Costello, Carla Bley, BrianEno, Phil Manzanera, Hugh Hopper, Nick Mason, David Mac Rae, Paul Weller, Andy Summers, e altri, inframezzate da rarissimi filmati di repertorio: dai primi concerti psichedelici degli anni 60 alle ultime registrazioni di Shleeps con Brian Eno e Phil Manzanera. Un affresco in bianco e nero per una sensibilitý musicale che non ha confini di stile, una vita dimessa e antieroica ma non limitata .... neanche dalla sedia a rotelle sulla quale Wyatt Ë costretto a vivere da venti anni in seguito ad uno stupido ma terribile incidente.

Very fast.
This happened years
ago when we discovered Robert Wyatt and Soft Machine. It happens listening to
his music, his songs, his voice, when we talk or read about him, his life, his
art, his civil activities and his huge creativity.
And it happened again last autumn at the Music Salon of Turin when David Sapienza
let us meet and know Robert Wyatt.
Our hearts beat so fast that we were left without words, concussed, moved.
That night "The different You"was born, an album dedicated to Robert
Wyatt with the participation of thirty artists united with a commune passion
for this great artist.

"THE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD"
Little Red Riding Hood is a film on the career and life of Robert Wyatt, founder, singer and drummer of Soft Machine. A reserved artist and melancholic poet of sound but at the same time ironic - a unique example in the contemporary music scene. Thirty years of artistic evolution and the story of his life told by Wyatt himself, Elvis Costello, Carla Bley, Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Hugh Hopper, Nick Mason, David MacRae, Paul Weller, Andy Summers and others, together with rare film footage; from the first pyschedlic concerts of the 60's to Wyatt's last recording of Shleeps with Brian Eno and Phil Manzanera. A painting in black and white for a musical style without frontiers, a life on the borderline, an anti - hero, a life not even limited by the wheelchair upon which Wyatt is forced to live for the last twenty years following a stupid but terrible accident.
