THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF CLASSIC ITALO DISCO

| Many
of you are familiar with various styles of music such as pop, rock,
funk etc... but in the early '80s a new kind of music developed
in Italy where it was simply known as dance music but abroad became
famous as Italo Disco. Indipendent italian labels with low-budget
productions created a whole new style, a mix of power and melody,
a wide use of synths, programmed rhythms and melodic lines which
brought us wonderful masterpieces. But like all the productions
outside the circuit of the major labels, many italo records were
printed in very limited quantities. Some of the most rare and wanted
tracks barely reach 1000 copies in the whole world which makes them
very hard to get now, even in Italy. |
