History of Hotel & Restaurant Claudio comes out of a dream, the dream of Claudio Pasquarelli, known simply as Claudio by the best Chefs, worldwide. He managed to bring to life the dream of a compound he has always dreamed about. A blueprint of hospitality where taste goes along with a special cousine with mediterranean colors.

 

A magic place, a small jewel set into the rock, wide and beautifully welcoming. With a wonderful terrace which hangs straignt on the sea below. A place where sunsets get even prettier. Take your time to have a look around and admire the gulf underneath, you'll be sourranded by Claudio's hard work....his dreams. It all started from his ideas, known as a young boy with ambitions and strong attitude, Claudio got a job as a waiter at a small restaurant in Vado Ligure, near the town of Savona ( on the north west coast of Italy, next to the french border ). Vado is also his hometown. His mother Giulia worked in the kitchen of the same restaurant and was well known for her typical ligurian dishes. But this was not enough for him. He wanted more. Luck came into his way...and just after 2 months in this area was built a big factory which brought business into the region from all over the world. It was the beginning of it all. He can now pick up what he has planted.....

 

 
 

In 1982 he buys a piece of land on Bergeggi, just 5km from Vado. A wide land with a spettacular view over the sea. Along with Mr Dagna, a well known Architect, finds a way to use this land and built a restaurant and a flat. In just a few months the building is ready. Nowdays the Restaurant has beautiful antique forniture and is a famous Gourmet Restaurant. The Menu changes and improves every year. Claudio doesn't think this is all he can get....and in 1989 a small hotel was built next to the restaurant. 15 rooms, beautifully designed, wide and lightcolored, each room is different from the others, they all have nice bedlinnes, antique forniture and a terrace with a splendid view..

 

His dream kept on increasing....and from the Restaurant and the small hotel, we can find now a 25 room hotel and a nearby Residence with 50 studios. Claudio still did not stop dreaming, and likes his history to grow up again and again....Many awards and events can be listed, many special moments and many tough ones too. Coming to stay at his Hotel or have dinner over summer on the enchanting terrace, is an experience that you'll never forget.

The character of all of us, ligurians...very much similar to this land,we are stabborn, arrogant sometimes, precise but honest. We live in this land where a handshake worths more than a written contract. It's true, we clip together characters of people that live on the coast with people that live on our hills....to us there's no piece of paper that worths enough, enough like a pact, spoken pact. I like all this, as long as it will not give up itself to today's modernity."
