I Ficarelli vennero da Mommialla nel 1393. Mommialla era celebre per i suoi bagni di acque sulfuree e si trova nella zona di Villamagna.

La famiglia era divisa in due rami nel '600:

Il I° si spense nel 1702 con Pier Maria di Fabio fu Lorenzo che abitava la casa in via San Giovanni sotto la casa dei Gamucci, a fianco del chiasso di S. Caterina.

Morto Pier Maria, gli eredi testamentari la vendettero a Antonio di Francesco Ticci, mugnaio della Zambra, venuto ad abitare in San Gimignano per farvi il fornaio.

Nel 1708 la casa fu comprata e quando nel 1750 lui morì, continuò ad abitarvi la vedova Niccola di Antonio Delli (v. Stato Anime 1762). La casa però era stata ereditata dalla figlia M. Rosa sposata con Giuseppe di Giovacchino Moggi, fornaciaio, che ne divenne il proprietario (forse perché M. Rosa l'aveva portata in dote).

Il II° ramo si spense invece nel 1719 con Livio di Lorenzo di Pier Maria. La sua casa era , invece, sull'altro lato tra la casa del can. Domenico Cortesi (oggi è quella dei Mangani) e quella dei Mostardini, sempre in via San Giovanni. Alla morte di Livio i Mostardini acquistarono la sua casa e l'unirono alla propria.

Lo stemma, secondo la descrizione del ms.106, era lo stesso per le due afmiglie: campo superiore oro, campo inferiore azzurro, nel mezzo una banda rossa con tre foglie di fico verde.

The Ficarelli 

the Ficarelli came from Mommialla in 1393. Mommialla was celebre for its sulphureous water baths and it is found in the zone of Villamagna. 

The family was uniform in two coppers in the ' 600:

To the dead women of Livio the Mostardini acquired its house and they joined it to the own one. 

The coat of arms, second the description of the ms.106, was the same one for the two afmiglie: field advanced gold, field inferior blue, in means one red band with three leaves of fico green.
