Hans Poschmann

I learned the moves when I was about 16 years old during turbulent times back in Germany, but started to play more seriously when I was 20. My involvement in correspondence chess began when I was about 25 years old, starting in a tournament from "Deutsche Schachzeitung". In ICCF I started in class II and advanced to the master class (before computers). About 15 years ago I quit correspondence chess because I didn't like computer involvement. Now, at the age of 64, I'm running a one-man cabinet shop and will retire soon. I'm a Senior Tournament Director with the United States Chess Federation and was involved as a local organizer and as a Delegate to the USCF. Presently I'm trying to reorganize the Fremont Chess Club in Northern California.
