As for the title, my research shows it listed as both"Bradford UK 73" and "Bradford 73".

1973-03-22 ESSEN
Led Zeppelin --
03/22/1973 Gruga-Halle, Essen

First time ever complete version (uncut STH, WLL and complete Heartbreaker)
This is Led Zeppelin's complete performance at the Gruga-Halle in Essen-Gruga, Germany, march 22nd 1973 combined from low gen audience sources by Winston Remasters. The version previously treed here in 1999 was a combination of bootlegs "Essen 73" (Savege Beast) and "Essential Led" (Flying Disc), had several cuts and was missing Heartbreaker. The new version was built using a recent transfer off a TDK SA C90 first generation cassette, dubbed from the actual master in the late 70s, supplemented by a new alternate recording which has been given to the 'German Friends Of Zep' club by the taper himself, who had stored it on his own first generation Uher 1/4-track reel for 30+ years. I transferred this reel to digital using the taper's original Uher Royal Deluxe reel machine. FYI below i included a pair of stories and anecdotes i received (and translated from german) from fellow countrymen who attended the concert. I think these 'reports' nicely reflect the atmosphere of that night - enjoy!A great 'thank you' to the fellows in the german Led Zeppelin Club, "German Friends Of Zep", for making the new audience source available, after more than 30 years!Special thanks to club admin Wolfgang "LedWolf" Muller and of course to Enno Janssen, the actual taper of the newly surfaced recording. And not to forget, thank you Winston Remasters for putting this set properly together!

This is mastered from my personal 48kHz 20bit DAT. Dithering to CD standard and some minor editing (tape flips) was done with ProTools. It is one of the hissier soundboards, but I think the show is a prime example of tight but loose. Page is a bit off tonight, which creates some very interesting errors/results.

Imperial Kezar (Electric Magic, 3cd), Led Five (Empress Valley), & Vibes Are Real (Watchtower)
Imperial Kezar debuts some of the soundboard. It is used for some of Moby Dick, Heartbreaker, and for part of Whole Lotta Love. Total board time is about 28 minutes.
Led Five features Moby Dick through the end of the show, totaling about 61 minutes. The audience tape is used briefly during the beginning of Whole Lotta Love and after Communication Breakdown. EV's sound is improved over EMC.
Watchtower's release is not cut during Whole Lotta Love and doesn't use the audience tape to fill anywhere. It has more tape after the show. The sound is very similar to EV's but seems a little more enjoyable.

One of my favorite shows from the 1973 U.S. Tour

Info from Bootledz:
Three Days After (SIRA & Cobra)The tape shared by these titles has many problems. Silver Rarities elected to remove the worst parts. In doing so, most of No Quarter is missing, all of Song Remains the Same, all of Rain Song, and about two minutes of Dazed. Time after Stairway and Whole Lotta Love has also been removed to avoid tape problems. Backing up, the first dozen seconds are missing from when cutting into Over the Hills. Much of the tape after the show is missing too. SIRA's sound is just a touch louder than Cobra, but doesn't seem to be due to a difference in the quality of tape.Info from Me.I find the SIRA sound quality better than just volume. The application of noise reduction and other subtle differences makes it superior and a more pleasurable listening experience. I'm not a big fan just removing parts that are of a lower quality either, so I have included the portions that were omitted with the cobra version. The SIRA version is also missing some audience banter and noise which i have not included. Tracks identified with a letter after the number are from the cobra discs. Please don't ask me why i just didn't torrent the Cobra version, i think I just explained it.
Special Thanks to the Drunken Drummer.

Sound quality is decent on this one. The taper apparently didnt have great seats, but its still very listenable. Ive heard much, much worse in the Zeppelin community.

This is the third release from the Howard Silver collection. Originally from New York, Howard spent his college years and thereafter in Chicago. He attended many concerts in the 70’s and taped many of them using a Sony TC-110 with built in microphone. Later shows, he used an external microphone, of which brand he does not recall.

These shows have never been heard by anyone but Howard and his wife! However, he is no hoarder. He did not think anyone would be interested in his tapes. How wrong he was!!!
More to come….stay tuned!!

I downloaded this from STG awhile ago (I want to say that Pieter seeded it, but I may be wrong on that), and I re-ripped it tonight because 1) I'm an insomniac and 2) I can blow off school tomorrow because it's a field trip (to downtown Chicago, ironically).

My lineage:

STG>CD-R (3)>EAC>WAV>SHN (verified OK with original MD5's)>FLAC

Seeded @ Presence's Tracker on 9/28/04 by Tom Stutesman.

I'll just steal the rest of the show's information from Pieter's magnificent website.

Over The Hills And Far Away
Misty Mountain Hop
Since I've Been Loving You

Disc 2:
No Quarter
The Song Remains The Same
The Rain Song
Dazed & Confused

Comments:
Very good sounding tape, with Jimmy upfront. The drums are a bit in the background. Plant's voice has recovered a bit from the night before (as it is said). I don't have the SB from the 6th as the combination of a bad voiced Plant and a 1973 SB doesn't sound too tempting. But maybe in the future ??

The sound travels a bit here and there, also with tiny dropouts but nothing too serious. 'Celebration Day' has the band already fired up, shame it is cut. We go straight into
the introduction for 'Over The Hills And Far Away'. Jonesy is excused for a minute due to a problem with his braincell(s). Plant's voice starts to crack during the first verse.

While 'Celebration Day' sounded on fire, this sounds extremely sluggish. Jimmy saves it all with a lengthy solo and a suddenly improved guitar volume.

'Misty Mountain Hop' has the audience clapping along fine. Robert sounds suddenly fine singing about a subject close to the heart. The overall sound has improved a lot during this part of the tape. Page doesn't get in the break leading to 'Since I've Been Loving You' as Bonham and Jones
expected but extends a bit before doing so. Great version with Robert's raw, raspy voice to it's full effect and Jimmy also in great form. Even the keyboards are perfectly audible now.

Jonesy's showpiece 'No Quarter' follows. Perfect version 1973 style without the enhancements of 1975/1977. Bonzo adds a bit of tympani here and there during the keyboard solo. Page joins very quickly for the jam. Suddenly it becomes very nice to hear a 1973 concert from an audience recording
after all the SB releases of the past years. Wonderful version of 'No Quarter'.

Plant hammers the press who wrote in a review about last night's concert that Bonzo plays the organ. 'The Song Remains The Same' continues in fine form. Some minor tape problems are starting up, maybe due to the volume of this song, because at the start of 'The Rain Song' they're gone.
Again, no complaints here, or am i just happy to hear a 1973 U.S.A. audience tape ??

'Dazed & Confused' is greeted with an enormous cheer. Plant is recovered now and adlibs and screams at will. Together with 1972 these are the best versions of this song. The first fast
part is overwhelming, Page is the shining star with lots of fluency and imagination. The intro to 'San Francisco' is beautiful.

No hurry as Jimmy is improvising a bit before softly gliding into the bow solo where the audience really screams the roof off. The duel with Plant is extremely good.

'Mars' ends the bow solo and the bubble burst quickly with Bonzo and Jones entering with all power. What follows is an endless improvisation with all kind of rhythm changes till the call and response with Robert starts. This is rather short and the pace is picked up quickly with Bonzo really getting
into it. The return to the main theme is a bit shaky, but quickly forgiven. Great, all 29 minutes !!

Everybody goes really nuts as 'Stairway To Heaven' starts. The sound is a bit muddier now which suffers the keyboards. There's a small cut just before the fanfare. This is a good version of their most famous song. Jimmy again performs a masterful solo. Robert doesn't sound too bad in the closing end.

'Moby Dick' takes about 29 staggering minutes. At the end there seems a bit of concern that the drum intro to 'Heartbreaker' is the signal to 'Moby Dick' part 2. Jimmy's solo spot is full on with the 'Bouree' included.

Via a drum intro this is linked to 'Whole Lotta Love'. Some weird noise is preceeding the guitar sound now. Lyrics from 'The Crunge' begin the Theramin solo. The 'Boogie Chillun' section is great but not extended with extra songs.

The taper and friends give all kind of comments praising the event, while a girl's whole body is numb, as she says. A real firecracker fest is starting now.'Communication Breakdown' is the solo encore for this very good show, sound and performance wise.

I rediscovered this great show checking some discs for a trade and I thought very soon to
make a remastering out of it because is an incredible good show, with stunning versions
of almost every song performed with STH being the best IMO but with improvable sound.
And again, it's not that much circulated.
I suggest you to don't miss this one because is a really great concert.

Somehow distorted, just like the Houston tape of the same year, but obviously recorded from very near the stage. Comparing this one with "The Safecracker's Show" in terms of the completeness, WLL is complete and uncut on "The Out of Song Remains" . But Moby Dick contains a cut, while it's uncut on "The Safecracker's Show". (Susumu Omi, Nov 96)

7-27-73 soundboard V1/2 Extravaganza (Badgeholders), Discover America (Tarantura), Grandiloquence (Antrabata), & Safecracker's Show (Midas Touch) Midas Touch is the most complete release of this tape. The sound is heavier in the right channel. Antrabata is missing the Dazed fragment. It is left channel heavy. Badgeholder's title is missing Dazed and Stairway. The channels are balanced much better, but still not quite perfect. Tarantura's is the least complete, only having three songs. Badgeholder's music is louder than the others due to amplification. It has the common metallic sound. The other titles are similar in sound.

Pure and unadulterated, warts and all. Originally mastered at 96kHz 24bit, sample conversion to CD completed with ProTools utilizing highest quality pre and post filtering and 0.7bit dithering. Certainly not the best audience recording ever, but interesting to compare with the soundboard and the official soundtrack. Recording improves as the show goes on, so do not be rebuffed by the initial sound quality on the first several tracks. This is the final show of the 1973 tour, after which the band took their first extended period of time off.

Grand Finale - Empress Valley
Silver > Flac

To this best of my knowledge this is all that is available from the board. I have removed the portion that empress valley used from another date to falsely complete the show. If you judge the release on just the actual board tape, this is an excellent release for both sound quality and performance. I used Cool Edit with surgical precision to remove the erroneous portions (the splice is obvious under examination). Also included are the audience source used from the same release to fill the gaps, which is what empress valley Should have done in the first Place. This a complete show with the exception of the Ocean lead in and the first couple of chords. The Audience sources are seperate tracks and listed as:10a. Dazed And Confused (From Cut)10b.
