These comments are sufficient, except I converted these FLAC to WAV and then back to FLAC, so the lineage goes:Unknown gen. Cassette>Wav- CooleEditPro2.0 remastering ->FLAC>WAV>FLAC 301MB
One less meg, but there's negligible loss if any when converting FLAC>WAV>FLAC as most of you probably know.I should add something: Jimmy seems to play pretty well for being so sick. He's not a speed demon that night, but he's not too sloppy. In the 8mm footage, you can see him sitting on the drum riser during Ten Years Gone!Unfortunately, this bootleg does not include the announcement of cancellation, but I heard there is a source out there that includes it (I could be wrong)

This source fades out 5 seconds after Ten Years Gone is finished.

Hope you enjoy this!

Fair Distant Audience Recording

A bit distorted at timesThis is one for the Ledhead/completist
Luis Rey:Well, it sounds like the group is vindicating themselves after the disatrous third night at Chicago (theres even a brief reference to it). This is the last night, and there's no more "food poisoning" for Jimmy....indeed he delivers the fastest, most powerful solo in NBFM ever recorded. Plant avoids the usual "Oh Jimmy" intro and simply commands Page to " Shake It"! Plant is becoming an expert at prolonging and sustaining his powerful howls that constantly shake the audience. The reference to "You Shook Me" during "In My Time of Dying" is slightly cut in this recording. "Since I've been Loving You" is dedicated to Willie Dixon and his freinds on the South side, with Page transforming it into a frenzied version of "Tea For One". Plant is in a good mood, sarcastically demanding an apology from a local radio station who accused Jimmy of drinking the whole day of the cancelled concert ("Jimmy doesn't drink on tour")....John Paul Jones plays stand up bass during the Stomp. Page does some strange, different arrangements of the solos during Trampled and Whits Summer (with long tense pauses), until Black Mountain Side is hurried by the audience with "C'mon"! and impatient clapping. Even though the artwork that came with this mentions Trampled Underfoot after Rock & Roll, it's not. It's where it should be! These SHN files have not been uncompressed/decompressed they are the originals sent to me by Davstat (thanks agian mate!). I assume that this will be as downloaded by Erachief on DC++ and would check out against Jason's originals. These were (from memory) originally torrented on Sharing The Groove.

Notes
Incomplete audience recording. From bootledz.com
4-19-77
Cincinnati Kids (H&Y), Early Days, Latter Days (no label) & Gatecrush Riot (Electric Magic)
Early Days was the first release of this show. It and Kids are about 38 minutes shorter than Electric Magic.
Unfortunately, Electric Magic's No Quarter has a small cut. After the song, it is cut and misses some tape.
All titles are eq'd differently. Early Days has more bottom end. Electric Magic may possibly be a lower generation of tape.

After over 20 years of being hoarded, I liberated and make the full recording of this show available to you. Here it is, for the first time ever. Get it now, because I guarantee it will appear on a bootleg label once they find out it is here! The recording is actually quite enjoyable, and so is the performance :)

This is an audience source. This is taken from a second generation cassette that was originally downloaded from STG (I think). These FLAC files were burned to a CDR and HAVE NOT been uncompressed/decompressed, these are the originals. I am 99% sure that it was Jason that torrented this show on STG before he put his own tracker up. The FLAC files and the small info file are as passed to me.Many thanks go to Davstat for sending these to me. He downloaded them whilst I was having major connection problems. Thanks very much mate - as I said at the time hugely appreciated. I have included some artwork that was for the second gen cassette that comes courtesy of Zeppelin Art.

"A Presence Production" mastered by Jason Peterson. Cassettes provided by Unklejimbo. Pure and unadulterated, warts and all. Originally mastered at 96kHz 24bit, sample conversion to CD completed with ProTools utilizing highest quality pre and post filtering and 0.7bit dithering. I have not had the chance to do much comparison between these tapes and the bootleg releases. I did not do any fading out between cuts and tape changes, and no cuts were removed or cleaned up. You hear the tapes as they sound. All the cuts exist for two reasons: the taper was trying to save tape, and the recording was done on 60 minute (30mins per side) cassettes. This is one of Zeppelin's best shows from early in the 1977 tour, if not the best. Enjoy the Zeps!

There are a couple blips towards the end of TYG, but Presence tells me they were in the original DAT. Overall a great concert, with Plant singing (or attempting to sing) the album melody of OTHAFA. He can't sing the D, but after the guitar solo he only tries for C. 8+/10 quality, audience boot Enjoy!

SUNDAZED

------------

Sorry for the delay on this! All of the information is included, keep in mind this is not a Mike Millard tape! This is still a great show, I'd rate it above 1977.06.25 and 1977.06.27 in terms of performance but that's just opinion.Enjoy!

My Comments:As far as I know this is incomplete, it's intrinsic value comes from howmuch they suck, and I don't think there's a label bootleg of this concert.I ended Disc 1 with Kashmir, but I left the track listings how they were @STG.Robert sounds awful, Page is erratic. Achilles Last Stand is the worst performance of a Zep song ever, arguably, but I kinda like the unique intro. The guy who taped it is an amaetur, there's some bleed-through (I couldn't make out what was bleeding through, it would be funny if it was RoryGhallager), also I feel like I can hear the mic brush up against the guy'sunderwear the entire time. Worth listening to just so you've heard it.
Bottom Line: Shitty Performance, Shitty Recording,
Completists only. :)
