These two files have been compressed into the static, or stand-alone version, mj_20en.zip ... 519KB, which has been fully tested on both Windows 95 and Windows 98, but should also run on other Windows operating systems.
Just Unzip mj_20en.zip after download and make sure that both the EXE file and the DLL reside within the same folder. That keeps the Windows System directory from getting crowded with DLLs. - Enjoy!

This version has been designed on our new software development tool, Borland C++Builder 6.0, and includes a few extras like Runtime Support, a Game Replay function, and new dialogues.

Note: When running MahJong 2000 on a Notebook or Laptop, then the display of the Mahjong tiles might look a bit colorless, as demonstrated by the following two sample tiles. In this case, you can try our new Windows XP setup, in which most tiles have undergone special treatment for a genuine compensation:

In the following Windows XP versions, you can choose between two different tile sets: one for the standard display, the other for more accurate displays, as used on Notebooks. Therefore, the ZIP file contains two DLLs, besides of the EXE file.

Meanwhile, we have also received questions from visitors who downloaded MahJong 2000.
In one case, it was expected that the bitmap for the side window could be downloaded as well. This is not
the case. Because of the difference in file formats, the .jpg file displayed on the Information Page has to be
converted offline into a bitmap file first. We use Paint Shop Pro for that purpose. Besides of that, there was a request for music to be added to this game. Because of the length of mp3 files, we suggest to use the computer's built-in CD Player for that purpose. |
