Zender è un'azienda Tedesca, fondata alla fine degli anni sessanta da Hans-Albert Zender, che produce accessori per auto, elaborazioni di modelli prestigiosi e costruisce concept-car per sprimentare in prima persona le scelte tecniche e stilistiche operate. La Progetto 5, oggetto di questo articolo, è una Concept Roadster costruita nel 1995 intorno al prestigioso 3000 V6 Alfa Romeo. Fu presentata al grande pubblico nello stesso anno di produzione al Frankfurt Motor Show e subito colpì i cuori degli Alfisti di tutto il mondo. Il modello prodotto dalla ditta Alezan, si presenta con una resina di alta qualità, contornata dalla consueta serie di accessori in resina e fotoincisione. Molto belli i cerchi riprodotti in tre pezzi (cerchio in alluminio, un dischetto di plastica come spessore e le belle razze a stella a cinque punte). Come al solito dobbiamo preparare i vari pezzi per la colorazione. Dopo averci pensato su un poco, ho deciso di decorare la Progetto 5 con una tinta diversa da quella originale, che è Argento metallizzato. Volendo mettere in risalto le parti cromate, ed esattamente i cerchi, i rollbars, la griglia anteriore e il terminale del sistema di scarico... ho optato per utilizzare il bellissimo Titanio della Testor, colore a smalto della serie Metalizer. Dopo aver carteggiato accuratamente la carrozzeria e aver chiuso, con l'ausilio di pochissimo stucco liquido le poche imperfezioni della resina, ho incollato nella loro sede gli specchietti, in quanto sono da decorare nella stessa tinta del corpo macchina. Successivamente e dopo averli puliti accuratamente, ho applicato, ai pezzi che devono avere una finitura cromata, il Bare Metal Foil. Questo prodotto, ormai conosciuto ed affermato in ambito modellistico, ha la caratteristica di essere adesivo ed, essendo molto fine, di "copiare" perfettamente tutti i dettagli del pezzo che andiamo a ricoprire. Basta infatti 'premere' con cura il pezzo di bare metal foil per farlo aderire perfettamente alle forme dello stesso. Una volta messo in sede, sopporta tranquillamente l'eventuale stesura di una mano di lucido per far risaltare la cromatura. Ho quindi montato le ruote complete di battistrada e mi sono concentrato nella decorazione effettuata, naturalmente, ad aerografo. Per avere una finitura perfetta ed evitare il depositarsi di granelli di polvere sulla superficie appena verniciata, ho steso le varie leggerissime mani (3 per la precisione), e lasciando asciugare perfettamente ogni mano sempre all'interno di un flusso aspiratore di vapori. Durante il periodo di riposo assegnato alla carrozzeria per permetterne la completa e perfetta asciugatura, mi sono occupato della decorazione dei sedili e di parte della consolle centrale. Ho scelto di riprodurre il colore e l'effetto della pelle marrone; per questo ho utilizzato i colori acrilici della Vallejo, ed esattamente una miscela di marrone rossiccio (985) e marrone cuoio (940) come base. Ho utilizzato la tecnica delle 'luci ed ombre' in voga nella decorazione dei Figurini, cercando di far risaltare l'effetto "cuoio" della pelle, schiarendo il colore base, prima con del marrone aranciato (Vallejo 956) ed in ultimo con dei tocchi di arancione puro. Le ombre sono state riprodotte aggiungendo al colore base il cuoio scuro (871) e piccolissime quantità di nero (950), stendendo il colore molto diluito per non coprire completamente la stessa. Terminata la fase di colorazione, ho montato la carrozzeria, il cruscotto ed i sedili al fondino di chiusura, aggiungendo, in un secondo tempo, tutti i particolari esterni (ad esempio i rollbars). Ho quindi decorato a pennello alcuni particolari, tipo le frecce, e piazzato le decals che riprendono il logo della progetto 5 (sulle fiancate), il logo Alfa Romeo, il tappo del serbatoio, la strumentazione e le targhe con il logo Zender.

The model produced from the Alezan company, introduces with one resin,
contornata from the customary series of accessories in resin and
photogravure.
The many beautiful reproduced circles in three pieces (circle in
aluminum, a plastic floppy disk like thickness and the beautiful ones razze
to star to five tips). As
usual we must prepare several the pieces for the coloration.
After averci thought on little, I have decided to decorate Plan 5
with a various ink from that original, that is metalized Silver.
Wanting to put in prominence the chromium plated parts, and exactly
the circles, the rollbars, the front grill and the terminal of the drainage
system... I have sen in order to use beautifulst Titanium of the Testor,
color to enamel of the Metalizer series.
After to have corresponded accurately the auto body and to have
closed, with the liquid stucco aid least the little imperfections of the
resin, I have glue in their center the small mirrors, in how much they are
from decorating in the same ink of the body machine. Subsequently and after
averli cleaned up accurately, I have applied, to pieces that must have one
chromium plated finish, the Coffins Metal Foil.
This product, by now known and asserted in modellistico within, has
the characteristic of adhesive being and, being a lot fine, " to copy
" perfectly all the details of the piece that we go to cover. Enough in
fact ' premere' with cure the piece of coffins metal foil for farlo joining
perfectly to the shapes of the same one.
Once put in center, sopporta calmly the eventual drawing up of a hand
of I polish in order to make to risaltare the chromizing.
Therefore I have mounted the complete wheels of outrider and they are
concentrated to me in the carried out decoration, naturally, to airbrush.
For having a perfect finish and avoiding depositarsi of granelli of
powder on the surface as soon as painted, I have spread several lightest
hands (3 for the precision), and leaving to always dry perfectly every hand
to the inside of a flow vapor exhaust fan.
During the period of rest assigned to the auto body for permetterne
the complete and perfect drying, they are occupied to me of the decoration
of the seats and part of the central console.
I have chosen of riprodurre the color and the effect of the skin
brown; for
this I have used the acrylic colors of the Vallejo, and exactly one mixture
of brown rossiccio (985) and brown leather (940) like base.
I have used the technique of the ' lights and ombre' in voga in the
decoration of the Little figures, trying making to risaltare the effect
" leather " of the skin, schiarendo the color base, before with of
the orange-colored brown (Vallejo 956) and in last with of touches of pure
orange. The
shadows have been reproduced adding to the color base the dark leather (871)
and small black amount of (950), spreading the color a lot diluted in order
not to cover the same one completely.
Finished the phase of coloration, I have mounted the auto body, the
instrument panel and the seats to found of closing, adding, in according to
time, all the external particular (as an example the rollbars).
Therefore I have decorated to paint-brush some particular, type the
arrows, and placed the decals that they resume the logo of plan 5 (on the
flanks), logo the Romeo Alpha, the stopper of the tank, the instrumentation
and the plates with logo the Zender.
