There are some ways to celebrate the magnificence, generosity, and the loyalty of our mother The Virgin Mary, especially during October. One of them by doing rosary prayer everyday because during October, our church celebrate the feast of Mary as The Queen of Rosary. In region Tanjung Morawa (has 9 station churches) of Delitua parish, there is a unique tradition that they do every October to celebrate the feast of Month Rosary. In this region, faiths annually celebrate the feast of month rosary at the first Sunday of October in one of the station church that has been chosen to be the host. In this year, the feast was celebrated on October 7 at the station church St.Antonio di Padova. The church in this station is small enough, therefore, the feast was held in the public hall that can be enough for faiths that come from 9 station churches. Actually the feast was organized by all mothers because the intention of this celebration was on purpose to encourage all mothers to follow Mary’s life as a mother of Nazareth’s family. But, of course that the fathers and Catholic youths also participated in preparing the feast. Especially at that chance, the Catholic youths were requested to put up a ‘grotto’ for place statue of mother Mary. On last October 7, faiths from 9 station churches came and gathered in the feast location to be ready for Mass. The feast was started with the Eucharistic liturgy exactly at 9 pm. The Eucharistic liturgy was celebrated by our parish priest, P.Andreas Gurusinga, Ofm.Conv. and accompanied by the Rector of major seminary of Conventual Indonesia, P.Maximilian Sembiring, Ofm.Conv. In his preach, P.Max said about the character and role of Mary in the salvation history of Jesus started from announcement from Gabriel to Mary till the resurrection of Jesus, where Mary keep her loyalty to God in accompanying His son in sadness and happiness even in sorrow of Jesus. Therefore with this celebration we hope all mothers in region Tanjung Morawa can follow Mary’s loyalty in their family, that is loyalty to God in accompanying their family. In this event we saw also most of the faiths brought fruits, flowers,vegetables, and fish from their farm to be given to priest as the symbol of their thank to God, it was of course aside from the offering. After finishing Eucharistic liturgy, it was continued by giving speech, and having lunch together. Later on there were also entertainment and some festival of choir and dance. At that time, the mothers joined the contest of choir and dance, the fathers joined the joking contest, and the youths joined the vocal group contest. Besides, the young children from Sunday school made a program of selling religious things in that event, on purpose to collect the fund. Moreover, our young conventual friars from major seminary Siantar sold the T.Shirts that made a process of silk screen the picture of Jesus on purpose to provoke our faiths’ participation in their formation fund.
