The mother of F-litter, Nanna, was never in hurry like we humans impatiently waiting her to give birth. Her last pregnancies had taken up to 68, 70 and 71 days so I was not worried when, in the morning of the 69th day, she still didn't give any signs of delivery. However, in the afternoon of the same day she began to have light contractions which became heavier and heavier quite soon. I started to get a bit anxious when the contractions had continued for some time without any results and Nanna was seemingly getting tired. I was about to call the veterinary when she gave a loud cry and a dead bluetortie/white kitten was born. She had her head bent against her chest so it's a miracle that Nanna managed to get her out. Immediately after this slid out another female kitten, a tortie/white one. She was alive although a bit sluggish at first. I thought that when the kitten that had blocked the birth canal had came out, the others would be born easily. But that wasn't the case because the contractions had ceased totally after the birth of the first two kittens. I waited for another while, feeding Nanna with high energy products hoping that the delivery would restart. I could still feel that there were kittens inside her. I got worried again when I didn't feel the movements of the kittens anymore and decided to go to the veterinary clinic. The ultrasound revealed that there were two more kittens inside and their heart beats were really weak. An urgent C-section was performed but unfortunately only one of the blue/white male kittens was taken out alive.

I gave the tortie/white girl Fanni as a hostcat to my friend Elina (FIN*Halden). Fanni became later the mother of FIN*MoonCat's H-litter.
